Pedralonga is a limestone rock formation on the coast, a few miles below the Capo di Monte Santo and the Gulf of Orosei/Baunei. It has been a natural monument since 1993 and it is a remaining part of the limestone crust that used to cover this side of the coast: a “witness of erosion”.
This hike starts at Santa Maria Navarrese and goes past Pedralonga (where a seasonal bar/restaurant is present) to arrive to a view point above Cala Fenile where a packed lunch will be consumed. Alternatively, it is possible to go back to Pedralonga and have a break there, before returning to Santa Maria Navarrese.
The whole track follows the coastline and it consistently overlooks the sea, gifting the visitor with breath-taking landscapes. With a bit of luck it may also be possible to see some dolphins passing by.
